Almudena R. from Illinois was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a trip to see Maisie Peters and be 'The Good Witch' for the weekend in NYC" that took place in August 2023. Below are some of Almudena's highlights from the experience.

Being in New York for the weekend was an absolutely incredible experience. We arrived in the city on Friday morning and after checking into our hotel (in the center of Manhattan!) we grabbed some pizza and spent the day walking around Central Park.

We got ready and grabbed some drinks that night before heading to Radio City Music Hall to see Maisie. The concert was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Not only was Maisie so good, funny, and talented, but the venue was unique and provided such a comfortable experience. Both Grace Enger and Maisie, along with her band, are wonderful performers and the concert was the best way to spend a night in the Big Apple.

On Saturday, we had some bagels for breakfast and decided to head to Union Square to go to the biggest indie bookstore in the city, The Strand. As a huge reader, I'd been wanting to go there for a very long time and it was lovely getting to spend a few hours roaming around the store. Then we spent the rest of the day walking around Washington Square Park, Chinatown, SoHo, and even Cornelia Street (if you're a Taylor Swift fan, you know!). All the food we had, especially that in Chinatown, was incredible.

What was even more incredible was Wicked. Neither of us had ever seen a show on Broadway before, and we couldn't have had a better first experience. Seeing the show from the front row is something I'll remember for the rest of my life. The actors were marvelous, the music and story were emotional and fun, the theater felt like something out of a movie, and the night was a dream. We were so happy to see two such wonderful shows on back-to-back days.

Before heading home on Sunday night, we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and explored Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo, where we stumbled upon a local flea market and a very popular ice cream store. We also had incredible views of the city and the harbor.

My sister and I had a delightful weekend and experience and we're so grateful that we got to spend time together in such a fun way!
