Jillian A. from California was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a VIP Trip to Hinterland Music Festival 2024" that took place in August 2024. Below are some of Jillian's highlights from the experience.

We had the best time at Hinterland 2024! I'm so grateful to Propeller for giving us such a fun, wild, once in a lifetime opportunity.

We arrived in Des Moines on Thursday night, and settled into our accommodations- the incredibly chic and comfortable Surety Hotel. The staff was wonderfully nice, as was the hotel's restaurant and amenities. We even discovered throughout the weekend that many of the bands we were seeing at Hinterland were also staying in our hotel, and we got to meet a few of them! This was a perk we never could have expected, but made the weekend all the better.

The festival itself was about a 30 minute drive away, so we were so grateful for the rideshare credit we got from Propeller. We frolicked through the Iowa cornfields all day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, meeting such amazing people and listening to great music at Hinterland. The VIP section was spacious and allowed us to get closer to the stage for each set than we would have been able to in GA. We also had bathrooms and a bar right outside the VIP pit, so we could hang there all day without missing any acts! Seeing Hozier on Friday was especially special - he has been my favorite artist for years, and this was our first time experiencing him live. Chappell Roan was also a highlight on Sunday - the entire festival turned into a giant party, and it was the most fun we've had in a long time.

We stayed in Des Moines until Monday night, so we got to explore the city after the festival ended and visit some amazing restaurants, bars and tourist spots. Neither of us had been to Iowa before, so it was a great introduction to the state and the area in general. We're so grateful to Propeller and feel proud to have represented important causes at a fantastic music festival!
