Crypto art is liberation. As an extension of web3 and the DeFi movement, crypto artists are helping tear down prohibitive institutions, democratic control and lift up the creative community.

PRØHBTD, a web3 visual artist on SuperRare and other leading crypto platforms, communicates its message through two central themes, FACE It and ESCAPE It, reflecting outwardly conflicting concepts that interconnect to bring harmony and balance. The goal is to inspire people to think, feel and act, and PRØHBTD personally took action by connecting with Propeller to give 3.14% of each NFT sale to three organizations: The Trevor Project, Colors of Change and Global Inheritance.

Founded by Oscar-winning filmmakers in 1998, The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for vulernable LGBTQ youth. Color of Change, started in response to racial disparities during the Katrina disaster, fights for pivotal civil rights issues like criminal justice reform. Global Inheritance, which turns 20 next year, empowers environmental change through arts-driven activism and programs that help reduce the carbon footprint at events like Coachella and the X-Games.

PRØHBTD selected these organizations because they seek to limit suppression, prohibitions and antiquated control structures while promoting equality and positive change. The approaches and methods might be different, but these groups share the crypto community's passion to liberate and democratize.
