In order to tackle the climate crisis, we must break free from single-use plastics made from fossil fuels. The damage caused by plastic production and waste has done an immense amount of harm to our health, ecosystems, and communities, where more often than not, marginalized folk bear the greatest burden. We need to confront some of the largest global consumers — including Coca Cola, PepsiCo, and Nestlé — and demand a a radical shift away from plastic production in favor of more sustainable materials.
