The world is facing a water crisis — 785 million people currently lack access to clean and safe drinking water. Children are missing school due to waterborne diseases. Women risk being assaulted or attacked by wild animals on their daily walk for water. Grandparents are trekking miles per day through rocky trails. Worldwide, the global water crisis is limiting health, opportunity, and hope for millions.
Maybe you don't feel like you can make much of a difference. Maybe you feel burned out by . . . the whole world. (We get it.)
But here's the thing: the water crisis is a problem we can actually solve. We're already solving it. Since 2006, the charity: water community has funded clean water for over 13 million people and counting. And that's all because of the millions of generous supporters who committed to doing something, anything, to help.
Some of our supporters are probably a lot like you. They're the big-hearted bakers. The lemonade stand entrepreneurs. The marathon runners. (Or the "not a runner" who runs anyway.) They're teachers trying to influence their students with the transformative power of generosity. They're professional binge-watchers. They're Cool Aunts and Fun Uncles. They come from every background and live in over 100 countries, but one thing unites them: they're giving generously to help end the global water crisis.
They've united to transform the world for good, because that's how change happens. This is how we end the water crisis: one person, one project, and one "yes" at a time.
