The recent elections in Wisconsin were a national disgrace. Thousands of voters were forced to choose between their health and voting. And thousands more who wanted to vote-by-mail couldn't do so because of administrative problems.
Unless we act now to safeguard our elections from COVID-19, millions of voters across the country will find themselves in a similar situation this November.
We need Congress to pass a law immediately that allocates the necessary funds (estimated to be $2 billion) so that states can prepare to run elections during a pandemic. Likewise, lawmakers should adopt common sense reforms, such as no-excuse absentee balloting, to ensure everyone has safe access to the ballot in November.
Sign this petition to demand that Congress mandate no-excuse absentee ballots, online voter registration, and early voting to ensure every American can vote during the Coronavirus crisis.
