The Haven is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter working towards ending pet homelessness. Through robust lifesaving programs and services we continue to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless, abused, and neglected animals.

In order to sustain operations, Propeller typically charges a small fee from any revenue earned by a cause that uses the platform. Propeller never charges a fee of more than 20% of revenues received via the platform. In addition, Propeller uses secure third party payment processors that also deduct their transaction costs. The applicable cause receives no less than 80% of the proceeds donated after deduction of fees and payment processing fees. A charity is not eligible under California law to use the Propeller platform if it has had its tax-exempt status revoked by, or is otherwise not in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, the California Franchise Tax Board, or if the charity is prohibited from soliciting or operating in California by the California Attorney General. Propeller periodically confirms charities' eligibility to solicit donations in accordance with California law.

It costs us $9 per microchip. Stray cats and dogs that enter area shelters including The Haven that are microchipped spend less time and fewer shelter resources thanks to being able to locate their owner due to the chip. Every Haven animal is microchipped.
The average cost to spay/neuter a Haven adoptable pet is approximately $75. These animals will never reproduce and contribute to pet overpopulation.
