About Alabama Coastal Foundation

The Alabama Coastal Foundation (ACF) envisions a society where decisions are based on the accurate understanding of underlying science, the dissemination of factual information, and the engagement of all interested people in creating a healthy, sustainable coastal environment. ACF's mission is to improve and protect Alabama's coastal environment through cooperation, education, and participation. We accomplish that mission through an inclusive environmental stewardship approach.

Our program area primarily encompasses Alabama's two coastal counties: Mobile and Baldwin. In 2012, we became a statewide organization to reach others throughout Alabama who are interested in improving and protecting our coast.

In order to sustain operations, Propeller typically retains a small fee from any revenue earned by a cause that uses the platform. Propeller never charges a fee of more than 20% of revenues received via the platform. In addition, Propeller uses secure third party payment processors that also deduct their transaction costs. The applicable cause receives no less than 80% of the proceeds donated after deduction of fees and payment processing fees.
