About Genesis Women's Shelter & Support

Founded in 1985, Genesis Women's Shelter & Support is a full-service Domestic Violence agency and shelter which provides safety, shelter and hope to women and their children who have experienced abuse. Through a holistic, wrap-around approach to the issue of Domestic Violence, Genesis is able to offer both residential and non-residential services to over 3,300 women and children every year. Through a comprehensive suite of advocacy, counseling, and legal services, Genesis is able to transform the lives of these women and children, providing a path away from a life of fear and abuse and toward one of hope and healing.

A charity is not eligible under California law to use the Propeller platform if it has had its tax-exempt status revoked by, or is otherwise not in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, the California Franchise Tax Board, or if the charity is prohibited from soliciting or operating in California by the California Attorney General. Propeller periodically confirms charities' eligibility to solicit donations in accordance with California law.
