About Hawthorne Valley Association

Founded in 1971, Hawthorne Valley's mission is to renew soil, society and self through the integration of agriculture, education and art. Our vision is to reconnect people, place and purpose. Our mission and vision come to life through our work which includes integrative learning through Waldorf-based, hands-on education; cultivating and distributing high quality food through Biodynamic agriculture; compassionate commerce, conducting ethical businesses that prioritize the welfare of people, animals and earth; nurturing artistic expression in our lives and work; supporting wild nature and resilient agriculture, thoughtfully exploring our economic and cultural life and fostering connection through original research and outreach and; collaborating with partners to address some of todays' most pressing concerns such as climate change, educating creative and resilient children, supporting biodiversity, and rebuilding healthy and fair food systems.

You will earn 10 points for every dollar
In order to sustain operations, Propeller typically charges a small fee from any revenue earned by a cause that uses the platform. Propeller never charges a fee of more than 20% of revenues received via the platform. In addition, Propeller uses secure third party payment processors that also deduct their transaction costs. The applicable cause receives no less than 80% of the proceeds donated after deduction of fees and payment processing fees. A charity is not eligible under California law to use the Propeller platform if it has had its tax-exempt status revoked by, or is otherwise not in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service, the California Franchise Tax Board, or if the charity is prohibited from soliciting or operating in California by the California Attorney General. Propeller periodically confirms charities' eligibility to solicit donations in accordance with California law.
