Beatrice S. from Massachusetts was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Trip To Meet Brandi Carlile at Red Rocks" that took place in September 2024. Below are some of Beatrice's highlights from the experience.
When I saw the first sweepstakes on Propeller to win tickets to see Brandi Carlile at Red Rocks in Denver CO., I was so excited to donate to the Looking Out Foundation to get entries. I didn't win that sweepstakes, but then I saw the second sweepstakes added. This time it included a meet and greet with Brandi Carlile, so I donated again. This time I won!
Propeller was incredibly thorough and prompt with such a limited time to set everything up. I had my flight itinerary, hotel reservation, and rideshare credit that same day I found out I won! We stayed at the Art Hotel in Denver. The hotel was beautiful and right in the art district. We went to the Kirkland Art museum which was right behind the hotel.
On the first day of the two shows, we went early to Red Rocks and walked around to see the beautiful state park. It was breathtaking. We also were able to go the Bramily tailgate pre-party before the show and meet some amazing people.
Our seats for the first show were row 13. We thought they were phenomenal considering how big the amphitheater is. The entire theater was breathtaking with the backdrop of the stage a rock wall and the seating situated in a depression surrounded by red rock walls.
The second night was the meet and greet before the show. We got our tickets at will call and they were even closer than the first night — in row 7, and almost center stage. We sat with the other winner and the previous winners of Brandi's giveaway of tickets for life, now our new friends.
Our contact for the meet and great was Maddie, and she was awesome. She was responsive to our texts and very informative regarding place and time for the meet and greet. Everyone at Propeller was friendly and professional. While we were waiting to meet Brandi, we were surprised by the owner of Propeller, Brandon, and he was super nice, down to earth, professional, and held great conversation. I loved hearing about how this all started and how they got to where they are now.
Meeting Brandi Carlile was a literal dream come true. I have loved her music for 20 years. I was so nervous and had no idea what I was going to say to her. When I was finally face to face with her, she welcomed us with a big smile and a warm hug and introduced herself with such a kindness that all my nervousness melted away. It was such an out of this world experience to talk to her for a few minutes and hear about her foundation and all the wonderful things they do with the funds they raise. She even signed my arm, which I tattooed the next morning under a tattoo of the Rocky Mountains I got earlier that day at the Bramily tattoo party.
I am forever grateful to all those involved in making this happen for me, and pulling it all together flawlessly in such a short time. Thank you Propeller, Brandon, Hannah, Maddie, Brandi and Looking Out Foundation for this once and a life opportunity and dream come true.
