Enter for your chance to win this beautiful Koa 700 Series guitar autographed and played by Jack Johnson on his Meet the Moonlight Tour!
This is a beautiful koa 700 Series Taylor guitar made from sustainably harvested koa trees grown in Hawaiʻi. Acacia koa is exclusive to Hawaiʻi and is deeply entwined with the history of the Hawaiian Islands. It is the largest of native trees and provides the sheltering canopy that fosters life in the mid-story and ground cover of the forest. These trees, revered for their majesty, strength and protective role, moved Hawaiians to give the word "koa" the larger meanings of bravery, courage and warrior. Koaʻs durable hardwood with stunning red, brown and blonde tones and complex figure adorned hula alters and was fashioned into weapons, bowls, canoes, surfboards and paddles.
For over a century, koa has also been a revered tonewood for crafting ukulele and guitars. This koa instrument resonates with the values of Hawaiian antiquity and inspires us to have the courage to be valiant protectors of our environment. Jack is honored to have the companionship of this guitar for this musical journey across North America.
