INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION TECHNOLOGIES

When you download, access, and use the Service, we may use technology to automatically collect:

  • Usage Details. When you access and use the Service, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the Service, including traffic data, location data, logs, pages viewed, interaction with the Service, Site preferences, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Service.
  • Device Information. We may collect information about your device and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, mobile network information, and the device's telephone number.
  • Location Information. The Service may collect real-time information about the location of your device.
  • Behavioral Tracking. We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services. We do not honor "Do Not Track" signals.

The information we collect automatically is only statistical data and does not include personal information, but we may maintain it or associate it with personal information we collect in other ways or receive from third parties. Such information also may be capable of being associated with, or be linked, directly or indirectly, to a particular customer or household.

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include, without limitation:

  • Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. We use essential cookies and analytics cookies.

    • Essential cookies are essential for the Service to function correctly. They are necessary to provide the Service and are used solely to carry out or facilitate the transmission of communications over the network. Without them, you may not be able to access various functionalities of the Service. Examples of these cookies include: (i) session cookies that keep you logged in to the Service; (ii) persistent cookies that save your preferences such as language; and (iii) cookies that remember items you have chosen to save or track. Essential cookies are automatically placed on your computer or device when you access the Service. It may be possible to disable them in your browser or device settings, but doing so may make the Service or parts of it inaccessible to you. Unless you have adjusted your browser or device setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser or device to the Service.

    • Analytics cookies, or performance cookies, are used to track visitors to the Service and their user behavior. This data is used to improve the way the Service works and to enhance the user experience. For example, Google Analytics cookies are used to collect anonymous information, including the number of visitors to the Service, unique visitors, where visitors have come to the Service from, and the pages of the Service they have visited.

  • Web Beacons. Parts of the Service and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited certain webpages or opened an email and for other related statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).

THIRD-PARTY USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Some features of the Service may be served by third parties, including our cause partners who use the Service to engage with potential and current supporters, analytics companies, your device manufacturer, mobile or internet providers, and other content and service providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Service. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.

We do not control any third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information about how you can opt out of receiving targeted advertising from many providers, see What Choices Do I Have?
