Winner Recap: Win a Super VIP Trip for Two to Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL

June 4th, 2024

Alan B. from Florida was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Super VIP Trip for Two to Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL" that took place in May 2024. Below are some of Alan's highlights from the experience.

Hangout Music Festival was a blast! Thank you Propeller for the great experience! I really enjoy the Propeller concept, the causes it supports, and I have been engaged with Propeller for years - I always hoped I might win a prize, but didn't think I really would win. I couldn't be happier to have won the Super VIP trip to Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama!

I went with my friend Quinton. Our flight from Tampa was a little delayed, but we arrived in Pensacola and took a Lyft to the Phoenix Condos provided by Brett/Robinson in Gulf Shores. Our Condo was great – two bed, two bath, everything we could need to live at the beach, even if it was just for the weekend.

The weather started off a little overcast – but we quickly headed to the beach.  With our Super VIP tickets we were able to go right up to the Shien Boom on the Beach Stage and catch some great DJ's – Dom Dolla, Troyboi, Subtronics - and on Sunday when the sun was out in full blast, we were missing the clouds.

From Boom on the Beach we walked to the main stage -across the beach and caught some bands– which included Nelly, Lana Del Ray, Odezza, Chappel Roan, Zach Bryan – and again right up front. (Later in the weekend we found the golfcart shuttles and were able to cross the beach so fast - the shift from Subtronics to Zach Bryan was neck breaking fast - great vibes at both, but significantly different).

The Super VIP experience was great – if anything, almost too fancy! The food included lobster, oysters, steak, and stone crabs at every meal. All of the staff was fantastic – the bartenders, the security, and folks who were checking people in and out of the conference. I never got in the pool – but there was a pool to watch bands from too…

There were also fun vendors, and volunteer organizations. I volunteer with HeadCount and it was great to see them out there registering voters.  It was a great weekend all the way around!

I hope to make it back next year!
