Veronica G. from Texas was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Trip To See Incubus on Their Morning View Tour and Enjoy a Backstage Experience in San Francisco" that took place in September 2024. Below are some of Veronica's highlights from the experience.
When I submitted a donation through Propeller, I had zero expectation I would win but thought it was a wonderful opportunity to support a great cause and marveled at even the slightest possibility of meeting my favorite band.
A few days later, I was notified that I was the winner of a 3-day trip to San Francisco to meet Incubus, and was completely shocked and in disbelief. After the news sunk in, I was packing my bags and preparing to have an experience of a lifetime. Traveling from San Antonio, Texas to San Francisco was so exciting especially considering I'd yet to visit that particular part of California.
Checking into the hotel was a breeze and the hotel staff greeted us with a complimentary bottle of wine. Definitely made us feel like VIP guests.
San Francisco was absolutely amazing and so fun to explore. We even crossed the golden gate bridge towards Sausalito and spent time walking around and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. Walking near the beach while enjoying a cappuccino, shopping and visiting china town were my favorite. Loved SF!
Everyone we encountered from the hotel to the music venue were very accommodating and friendly. On the day of the show, I was so excited and nervous but we were in such great hands of the coordinating staff who made us feel welcomed and provided guidance throughout the backstage experience and also the meet and greet. Having the opportunity to meet the band and share a few words with them before the show was an unreal, unforgettable experience, obviously the highlight of the trip! I could hardly speak!
I'm still in awe that I got to meet the band, who were all so down-to-earth and put on an incredible performance. Having side stage view of the show was so awesome!
The entire trip was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Thank you Propeller, Incubus and the MYF for making this dream a reality. I'm still pinching myself!
