Nayala S. from New York was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Trip to Experience Governors Ball as a VIP in NYC" that took place in June 2024. Below are some of Nayala's highlights from the experience.
Being a born & raised New Yorker that's never been to GovBall yet... this was a dream come true! It was so much fun to have a sort of "staycation" - taking an Uber from home in Manhattan to go 20 minutes away to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and staying for 4 nights at the Hoxton hotel. I actually felt like a tourist after checking in - I was in awe of the beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline across the water.
It was awesome being able to Uber to-and-from the festival for the whole weekend, instead of dealing with public transportation. Getting dropped off at Corona Park every afternoon was like a brand new adventure starting each day. It was such a blessing to get to see a huge variety of artists like Post Malone, 21 Savage, Sabrina Carpenter, Yung Gravy, Farruko, SZA, Jessie Murph, and so many other amazing performers. It felt like being at 20 different concerts within 3 days!
Being able to sit comfortably under the VIP tents by each stage was also amazing. It was so nice to choose whether you wanted to chill out on the couches and watch an artist from afar, or walk over to the front-row barricades and be right up-front to watch from up close!
I'm a foodie, so I also really appreciated the wide range of food and drinks offered throughout the festival grounds. There were tons of food trucks, bars, pop-up vendors, and most importantly - free water stations to stay hydrated.
