Elesa M. from New York was the winner of the Propeller experience to "Win a Trip To Meet Maya Hawke at Her Album Release Show in Nashville" that took place in June 2024. Below are some of Elesa's highlights from the experience.
We flew out on Friday and got in around dinner time. We were pretty tired so we stayed in and ordered food. Our hotel was beautiful and made us feel so comfortable.
On Saturday, we got up and walked Broa\dway and got some lunch. We did some cowboy boot shopping and we found the perfect pair of boots for the show. We went back and freshened up and then had some dinner and drinks on the hotel's rooftop.
Then we headed over to the show! Once we got our tickets at will call, we were told Maya was ready for us! We went backstage to her dressing room where she was hanging out drinking tea. She was so down to earth and friendly - we spent a good 15 minutes just talking like friends. We talked about almost everything. We met her dog Lucky as well! She gave me a signed setlist and then we took some pictures before she had to get dressed for the show.The show was great and she did an amazing job! Her band also sounded amazing.
On our last day, we got up and ate breakfast, then visited the Country Music Hall of Fame and tried on some cowboy hats at the gift shop. Then we headed over to Centennial Park to see the Parthenon. We also got to see the bench that was dedicated to Taylor Swift from Nashville. We went back to the hotel to change and get ready to leave for our flight home. We were both sad to leave but we will definitely be back to visit!
